#SocialistSunday

It’s Sunday. The day Twitter socialists hit the hashtag button hardest. Extra hard today cos we’re on the new energy tariff and people are gonna die. ‘Get The Tories Out’ they say, like the fucker waiting in the wings ain’t gonna watch us freeze or starve with the glib, unblinking stare of a stoned bullfrog.

When Hate Takes Over – Saboteur Aesop

As many of you know, myself and a group of Black women called out a ‘socialist’ who was making racist comments while building a huge following on the back of the #SocialistSunday hashtag. We were attacked by dozens of left-wing accounts in retaliation and found ourselves the focus of a yearlong campaign of racial hatred. Up until then, I’d seen Saboteur Aesop around, even followed her for a bit. I’m not sure why I unfollowed. Probably the constant stream of hate coming from her account.

When Hate Takes Over

How far is too far for Sarah Wiles? Let’s talk about Sarah Wiles. ‘Urghhhh’ you say, simultaneously losing your appetite […]

Racism Rundown

There’s something chilling about racist white women. It’s the switch for me. One minute they’re marching with you… FOR YOU… the next they’re quite literally trying to have you killed or hurt. With a smile, a few words of pity and a reminder of how much they’ve done for 'you people.'

Racism Rundown – And then a step to the right…

Until March this year, I'd never heard of Resisting Hate. The appeared when I called out a prominent Left Wing account, Jamie Kay, for racist comments about Black youths and Muslims. You'd think, being an antifascist organisation, they'd come to support me, a Mixed Race woman who'd received gorilla pics and had my 10 year old doxed and targeted with ableist slurs, but no, Resisting Hate were on the scene to protect white men who they believed were fine antiracists who could do no wrong.

Racism Rundown – Suspended Edition

I’ve been escalated. Pushed to the top of the agenda. The grift left put on their socks, sounded the alarm and helped the racists get me suspended from Twitter. Last night, white liberals celebrated my exit with drinks while I sat with the truth and the lessons I’ve learned over the past couple of months. Most of this I knew. Passed down by Black academics, writers and activists past and present. Through my experiences  in the corporate world where white women jostle for a position alongside the white hetero patriarchy. From school and university. I knew this, but I’m still taken back by the fervour with which white women will uphold white supremacy and the danger they expose us to in the process.

The Racism Rundown

#SocialistSunday continues unmoved by the grotesque racism that's been ripping through the left for 6 weeks now. Socialist Twitter is a numbers game, each follower gained is an ounce of credibility for the user, an army to protect them from critique or condemnation.

The Racism Rundown

They're afraid. With every passing week, their attempts to silence me become more desperate, outrageous and obvious. They're panicking. Escalating their attacks, involving more prominent figures and revealing that there's something much bigger at stake than the reputations of a few liberals. These white figureheads of antifascism are bound to something that prevents them from speaking out about the heinous racism, ableism and homophobia coming from a camp that they stuck their necks out to protect.

The Racism Rundown – #ResistingHate Edition

Another week, another deluge of online racism coming from the left. Supposed allies and antiracists #ResistingHate have spewed so much racism that Tommy Robinson is rethinking his entire career and the sound of party poppers were heard coming from the grave of Enoch Powell.

The Racism Rundown – Russian Dolls Edition

Russian dolls cos you take down one Twitter racist and then another and another come crawling out of their guts. How did I get here? Well it started with a horrible right-wing, beer swilling swine called Jamie Kay who was posing as a socialist in a bid to increase his following. Myself and others highlighted a number of racist Tweets he made and made a ton of enemies. Liberals… That’s what I thought, but the last week has proven that there’s something fouler at play than I ever imagined. This isn’t liberalism. This is right wing infiltration of socialist circles. A sinister, strategic campaign that I’m guessing is designed to keep the Twitter left in a constant state of turmoil, infighting and mistrust.

The Racism Rundown

It’s been a royally racist week on normal island as the flag shagging patriots lose their entire shit over the death of the crowned prince of prejudice Phillip Mountbatten. Waving the doctored racism report in our faces, casual and committed racists alike have come out in force to remind us that we are the real racists and we can fucking well leave if we don’t like how they and their aristocratic betters treat us.

Jamie Kay – The Scourge of Socialist Sunday

#SocialistSundays was born out of the collective grief of socialists following Corbyn’s electoral defeat and their fears of a Tory Brexit. It was a rallying cry for socialists to unite, to fight the rising fascism stirred up by the Tories and their right-wing media buddies. Sadly #SocialistSundays has been infiltrated by the far right and the biggest offender is a faux socialist Jamie Kay.

Black and POC Solidarity 2021

Many groups face oppression in the UK, but today I am talking about the relationship between the Black community and our friends who are also easily identified by the colour of our skin. Those who firmly believe we should be united against racism based upon our similar hues. We can, but much needs to change.

Black Sparta

At 7’ 6” Ella Williams cuts a striking figure in black and white photographs, poised and dignified in Edwardian dress. Reserving herself a place in Black British history, a reminder that we were here before the Windrush. For a moment she’s just a woman about town and then you remember. The lives of Black people in British antiquity are always bound within stories of exploitation and oppression. This statuesque African queen did not escape that legacy. (Continue...)

Tipping Point

Protests across the US are intensifying following the arrest of sacked police officer, Derek Chauvin, who was formally charged with the murder of George Floyd. The third degree murder charge has done nothing to reassure African Americans, who've been here too many times to believe this will lead to a conviction. Black Lives Matter is trending again at the worst possible time. Live feeds relay images from a war zone where African Americans are supported by white and POC, in numbers I don't remember seeing before. (continue to article)

Monster Rant

Look at the monsters. Worthless carcasses with unprickable consciences. Soured souls, rising each morning to open their bowels on the vulnerable, and campaign for death. They scroll past tributes to the dead, searching for signs of sympathy and support. Infuriated by kindness. Triggered by any display of humanity, unless it’s the clanging of pots and pans every Thursday at eight. (continue to article)

A Very Privileged Protest

Britain’s worst are gathered in Hyde Park protesting the lock down. The event was organised by UK Freedom Movement, but activists quickly revealed that the company was registered at the address of former Britain First leader, Jayda Fransen. The right wing have convinced enough working class voters that they don’t need the EU, the NHS or anything that the socialism has to offer. Now they’ve moved on to persuading them they don’t need to worry about Coronavirus. Because who else is going to get them back on the bus to work on Monday morning? Well okay, there’s Andrew Adonis, who wakes every morning to demand we sacrifice our kids to the Corona Gods. But they aren’t going to listen to a Baron are they? (continue to article)

Hope – Apply Liberally

Liberal Twitter is losing its shit. Middle class white women need their cleaners back pronto. Their husbands and sons are lazy twats and their daughters are in training to be middle class white women. Feminism is - understanding that their need to put working class women's lives at risk, exists only because of the patriarchy. The liberal blue ticks are leading the charge because us working class cleaners aren't on Twitter giving that good, clean liberal woke. I say us, because domestic cleaning is how I earn a living when I’m not earning enough as a writer. Which has been a lot of the time. The prospect of scrubbing the shit off the side of someone's toilet is never far away for me. (continue to article)

‘Call him a Coconut!’

70% of the healthcare workers who've died saving others from Covid are from BAME communities. While unions call for their immediate protection, voices from the right scramble to drown out accusations of racial bias. It’s 1979 and I’m being chased across the park by skinheads. I’m six, almost seven, they look like men but are probably still in their teens. I’m scared but I’m three minutes from home and know every tunnel burrowed through the privets between the gardens. The skins are high on glue, I’m confident I have a good lead, but I know not to look back. (click to continue)
